Pilots may now use Basic Med to fly as PIC and this includes being able to use it on check rides. That's great news!
If you are going on a checkride and intend on using Basic Med to meet the medical requirements you must bring along:
Note: The aircraft to be used must meet the requirements of the "Covered Aircraft" provision of Basic Med. (basically a Max certified TO weight of 6000 LBS and no more than 6 seats).
And, last but not least, As part of the check ride the DPE must ask about the privileges and limitations of flying under Basic Med and how you maintain it.
