How can I help?
Flight Training: Are you thinking about learning to fly or adding an addition certificate or rating? We all have our own reasons for learning to fly but being an educated consumer will help you out. "Where do I go?", "What airplane or helicopter should I learn to fly in?" and "Should I chose a FAR part 61 or 141 flight school?" are just some of the questions I've heard in my 30 plus years as a flight instructor. I'll help you navigate those questions and more.
Buying and Selling aircraft: Thinking of buying an airplane or helicopter? There are a lot of things to think about and a ton of questions to ask. I've bought, sold and leased several aircraft. I've made mistakes and learned along the way. The best thing you can do for yourself is to become an educated buyer or seller. I wont tell you which airplane to buy (you most likely know what you want) but I will help you think about the process so you don't get stung.
Aircraft Ownership: Surprisingly, buying the airplane is usually the easiest and least expensive part of owning an aircraft! Insurance, maintenance, hangar and numerous other challenges pop up along the way. Since you now own an aircraft, you are the person responsible for it. Its not your mechanic nor your flight instructor, its you. I'll help you think about choosing a maintenance provider, ,keep track of those airworthiness items, budgeting and other issues I've experienced in over 30 years of aircraft ownership.
Safety Management: Safety Management and Safety Management Systems (SMS) have been industry buzz words for several years. Part of Safety Management is identifying hazards, evaluating the risks and putting in measures to mitigate those risks. Sounds pretty simple doesn't it? Let me point out a couple of things. 1. Risk Management is NOT Risk avoidance. 2. The biggest risk may be an inordinate aversion to risk. Think about that for a minute. Risk Management is a individual is you and me. Lets talk about this. If you're running a small flight department or flight school lets discuss how we can get your personnel all on a level safety management playing field.
