Sorry for not posting last month. July is always busy with AirVenture and I just get behind doing things.
In the last 7 days I have had 3 airplanes show up with Airworthiness Directive that have been over flown. An Airworthiness Directive (AD) is basically a mandatory recall issued by the FAA for a problem with the aircraft or components of it. There are one time ADs and reoccurring AD's It's usually the reoccurring ADs that end up getting missed and if they're missed, we can't fly the aircraft. It's grounded.
And that means we can't do the check ride. You can't even fly the airplane home unless you get a ferry permit or get the AD complied with.
So please double check those maintenance logs and make sure your aircraft legal to fly!
